Mike’s Sweet & Sour Venison Balls Recipe

Hello again! This is our first recipe post. For this recipe, you can substitute beef for venison if you don’t have any, or don’t care for venison. We use our crock pot to make these.


For the sauce, add the following into the crock pot and stir:
  • 1.5 cups maple syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp birch syrup
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup flour or cornstarch
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup Birple Syrup

For the meatballs, in a large bowl mix together:
  • 2 lbs burger
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp birch syrup
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp rosemary
  • 4 garlic cloves pressed or minced
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs

Form meatballs and place into crockpot with sauce. Cook for 8 hours on low. Serve with rice and roasted veg! Enjoy!
